Prevención y tratamiento precoz de la Oclusión Invertida en la Atención Primaria de Salud

Resumen

Introducción: El diagnóstico temprano de la Oclusión Invertida es de importancia trascendental, sobre todo en aquellos pacientes que se encuentren en crecimiento y esta aparezca por la presencia de interferencias dentales. Objetivo: Reflejar los aspectos más importantes en la prevención y tratamiento precoz de la Oclusión Invertida en la Atención Primaria de Salud. Material y Métodos: Se realizó una búsqueda tanto en la literatura nacional como internacional utilizando las bases de datos de Infomed, en la biblioteca virtual de salud, Scielo, Pubmed como fuente de información. Se consultaron un total de 40 artículos y se seleccionaron 26, teniendo en cuenta los datos que aportaban. Resultados: Se ha observado en regiones de Cuba y otras partes del mundo la presencia de Oclusión Invertida relacionada con múltiples factores de riesgo, determinándose que los hábitos bucales deformantes como la succión digital, las interferencias dentarias, la persistencia de dientes temporales constituyen factores de riesgo coincidiendo en que debe ser tratada con prontitud. Conclusiones: El Estomatólogo general Integral debe detectar tempranamente la Oclusión Invertida, diagnosticándola y tratándola precozmente. Su manejo con la eliminación temprana de interferencias oclusales y de otros factores de riesgo se deberá llevar a cabo en la Atención Primaria de salud.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: The early diagnosis of the inverted occlusionis of the higher importance, above all in those patients in growing and appears the dental interferences. Objective: To reflect the highlights aspects in the prevention and precocious treatment of the inverted occlusion in the Primary Health Care. Material and methods: A searching in the national and international literature was carried out using the infomed data base, in the Health Virtual Library, Scielo, and Pubmed as sources of information. A total of 40 articles were consulted and 26 were selected according to the relevance of the information. Results: It has observed in regions of Cuba and others around the world the presence of Occlusion inverted relating to multiple risk factors such as, aberrant buccal habits like digital suction, dental interferences, and the persistence of temporal teeth have be treat as soon as possible. Conclusions: The Integrating General Deontologist has to detect the inverted occlusion early, diagnosing and treating the precocious. The handling of the same thing with the elimination early of occlusal interferences and of other factors of risk it must carry out in the primary attention of health.
