La Educación a Distancia: Implicaciones en la comunicación y socialización de los estudiantes de las carreras de ciencias médicas

Introducción: La educación a distancia ha ampliado significativamente el acceso y la flexibilidad en la formación profesional, sin embargo, esta modalidad también presenta importantes desafíos, especialmente en carreras de salud, donde la comunicación efectiva, la socialización y el desarrollo de competencias interpersonales son esenciales para la práctica profesional.
Objetivo: Identificar las barreras que enfrentan los estudiantes del área de la salud en la comunicación y socialización en contextos de educación a distancia, reconocer las herramientas digitales más utilizadas para la interacción, y recopilar las estrategias o prácticas docentes que favorecen la comunicación y socialización en entornos virtuales.
Material y Métodos: La presente revisión sistemática se desarrolló aplicando la metodología PRISMA. La búsqueda se centró en la base de datos Scopus, seleccionando estudios publicados entre 2023 y 2025, en inglés y español, permitiendo identificar 107 estudios primarios.
Resultados: Las principales barreras en la educación a distancia de estudiantes del área de la salud son de tipo académico, social y emocional, destacando la falta de habilidades digitales y la escasa interacción. Predominan herramientas sincrónicas como Zoom y Teams, mientras que otras presentan menor uso. Las estrategias docentes más efectivas se centran en plataformas digitales, trabajo colaborativo y metodologías activas para fortalecer la comunicación y la socialización.
Conclusiones: En conclusión, la comunicación y socialización en la educación a distancia del área de la salud se ven afectadas por diversas barreras, aunque pueden fortalecerse mediante el uso adecuado de herramientas digitales y estrategias docentes colaborativas que favorezcan la interacción, el apoyo mutuo y el aprendizaje significativo.
