Intervenciones de enfermería en el manejo de la traqueostomía en domicilio en cuidadores y pacientes

Introducción: Es importante destacar la escasez de información sobre intervenciones específicas en el ámbito domiciliario para el cuidado adecuado de adultos mayores con traqueostomía.
Objetivos: El objetivo de esta revisión bibliográfica es disponer de la evidencia más actual sobre las intervenciones de enfermería proporcionadas a los cuidadores informales para el manejo adecuado de la traqueostomía en el área domiciliaria.
Material y Métodos: Se realizó una búsqueda en cinco bases de datos electrónicas: PUBMED, SCOPUS, MedLine, SCIELO y CUIDEN y una búsqueda adicional en Google Scholar, se seleccionaron los artículos publicados del 2014 al 2024. Se utilizaron las directrices de análisis PRISMAcR para el desarrollo de esta revisión sistemática.
Resultados: Se incluyeron once artículos de investigación originales donde se identificaron tres temas principales: intervenciones para cuidadores sobre el manejo de la traqueostomía en domicilio, intervenciones para pacientes que fomentaron el autocuidado del manejo de la traqueostomía en domicilio e intervenciones para pacientes y cuidadores sobre el manejo de la traqueostomía en domicilio.
Conclusiones: Las intervenciones revisadas obtuvieron impacto positivo en el incremento del nivel de conocimiento y habilidades en los pacientes y cuidadores; además, mejoraron el manejo de la traqueostomía en domicilio y disminuyeron los niveles de ansiedad y la sobrecarga en los cuidadores y pacientes, así mismo incrementaron la autoeficacia en el manejo de la traqueostomía.Descargas
